About the tutor:

Tutor Ginnette Brookes has over 25 years of dance teaching experience in many different settings and genres. She graduated from The London College of Dance and Drama with a teaching Diploma and associates in ballet and national dance. The college was the leading teaching college of the Imperial Society of teachers of Dance (ISTD) at the time.

Ginnette studied all aspects of teaching dance and has teaching practice in both private dance schools and state education. Over the years she has taught at schools, community centres, dance clubs and workshops and last year taught at the Royal Academy of Dance for the Silver Swans Celebration Day. She has been fortunate also to have her choreography showcased in Bedford, Northampton Royal Derngate and De Montfort Hall in Leicester.

In 2021, having taught at a local dance school for many years, Ginnette set up her own business, GB Dance, with the emphasis on teaching adults. Over the past four years she has built classes in Ballet, Tap, Dance Exercise and in care homes and community centres. She is a Royal Academy of Dance Silver Swans licensee and has thriving classes in Leicester. Her focus is on bringing dance to more adults and offering the benefits that dance brings, both physically and mentally, through fun, welcoming classes.
