Our Attenborough Café is the perfect place to relax and socialise with quality food and drink.

Located next to our foyer and open 7 days a week, the space offers a great meeting point to further explore the centre whether you are here for a performance, our art galleries or a creative course.

There are a range of hot drinks available such as expertly crafted barista coffees, a range of teas, cold drinks and water. The menu features a selection of sandwiches, paninis, soups, jacket potatoes and salads, prepared with high quality ingredients. Just want a snack? Enjoy an array of cakes, muffins, crisps and chocolates.

The café also serves as a bar during evening performances and events, offering a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy.

As with all areas of the centre, the café offers access to free internet access for all visitors. You can access this through ‘The Cloud’ offered through Sky Wi-Fi. Once registered you will have access to the network across the centre and University of Leicester campus.

This outlet provides halal, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free hot and cold options. Items are labelled or highlighted on menus. If you are unsure, please ask a member of staff in the outlet.

 Accessibility

  • We have a selection of reusable adaptive cutlery and tableware available to borrow, please ask the café staff for more information.
  • A range of seating and table options are available throughout the café to ensure comfort when relaxing, drinking or eating.
  • High chairs are available for use.

Sustainability

  • To reduce paper cup waste, the café offers a 15p discount when customers bring their own reusable travel cup.
  • Bottled water is supplied by ‘Life Water’, where each bottle purchased helps to support and fund clean water projects across the world through the partner charity ‘Drop4Drop’.
  • The café maintains direct trade relationship with sustainable Fairtrade coffee farmers and suppliers.
  • All take-away cutlery is recyclable and the takeaway containers are either recyclable or compostable.
  • Almost all of the cold drinks are now in aluminium cans for infinite recycling.
